EMMANUEL SIXTH FORM

Article from the Chronicle

Emmanuel College is one of the North of England’s highest performing schools for sixth form provision.

In 2022, Emmanuel Sixth Form students achieved incredible results with 53% of students achieving an A* or A grade, 22% higher than the rate for the North East. Plus, 93% of all grades achieved were A*-C and 74% of all grades achieved were A*-B.

The wide range of subjects in the curriculum caters for the range of student interests and ambitions. Alongside traditional A Levels such as English, history, politics and maths, there are creative subjects such as art, drama and graphic communication. A commitment to vocational education sees an extensive selection of vocational courses on offer. For the academic year 2023/24, four new subjects are being added to the curriculum: psychology, health and social care, travel and tourism and applied law.

Emmanuel College is a non-selective school and all students are welcome as long as there is a suitable course and they have the willingness to engage with the opportunities on offer.

Sixth Form teachers are experienced and care deeply about helping students fulfil their academic potential. As each person is unique, each student’s time in college will be planned to suit and support their interests and goals.
